Kate Larson
Friday PM-SOLD OUT
As a shepherd, spinner, and editor of Farm & Fiber Knits, Kate Larson spends a lot of time thinking about the theory and practice of making yarn. We will sample a variety of millspun yarns created in the Pacific Northwest, West, and New England and learn how fiber, twist, grist, and processing combine to create the yarns you love. You’ll not only get to spend some time casting on great yarn, you’ll leave with organized samples and the skills you need to tackle yarn substitutions for future projects.
Skill Level: Basic knitting skills (cast-on, knit and purl stitches, bind off) or basic crochet skills (chain and at least one basic stitch).
