COVID-19 has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. The advent of effective, safe, and live-saving COVID-19 vaccines has made it possible for us to feel more confident that we can gather safely at Red Alder in 2022. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly through person-to-person contact, we will put in place measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, we cannot guarantee that participants, vendors, teachers, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19.
As of October 2021, these are our policies for participation at Red Alder 2022:
- Show proof of full vaccination. Full vaccination means the individual must have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine more than 14 days before first day of attendance at Red Alder 2022. (International attendees, please be in contact with us regarding other approved COVID-19 vaccines.)
Please be prepared to show your vaccination card, or a photo of your vaccination card on your mobile device, when you pick up your registration packet or before you enter the vendor/exhibition area.
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times when inside. The only exception will be if the individual is actively eating or drinking in designated areas. A mask should fit snugly against the sides of the face so it reduces the emission or inhalation of droplets that may contain the virus.
These policies apply to EVERYONE participating in Red Alder 2022, including teachers, students, vendors, exhibitors, market-goers, staff, and individuals gathering indoors to stitch with us.
Please note that as information develops, we may change these requirements in the interest of public safety.
Thank you for your continued support, we look forward to seeing you in person!
