Liberate yourself from pattern books! Make a sock to meet your own unique needs, for any size foot, and in any yarn. Learn how to measure your feet properly to understand your fit needs and create a perfectly fitting top-down or toe-up sock pattern. I’ll provide templates you can use over and over to design a sock from scratch, and we’ll also talk about how to adjust existing patterns and incorporate design elements like pattern stitches and colorwork.
Skill Level: Intermediate: must have knit a few pairs of socks.
Student Supplies:
a tape measure
Homework: Optional — work an approximately 4 x 4 inch swatch in the round of the yarn you wish to work with (if using non-sock yarn, use smaller needles than recommended for the yarn).
