Brioche and assigned pooling: Mash up these two fabulous techniques! We’ll discuss how to make these two techniques shine together, taking into consideration color contrast, tonal contrast, syncopated stitches, and the overall structure of brioche. We’ll play with several assigned pooling stitches on a brioche background, knitting flat.
Skill Level: Must be able to Knit/purl, cast on/bind off, know how to work 2 color brioche rib. This is not a beginning brioche class.
Student Supplies:
Two skeins fingering weight yarn, one of which should be designed for assigned pooling, 100g or 4 oz each. 24 inch US 3 needle (you may need to go up to US 4 if your yarn is a heavier fingering weight).
Homework: Will be provided with handout a few weeks before class begins.
