In this class we'll put Ladderback Jacquard into practice as we begin knitting the Bloomlings baby hat. We'll work through the in-project application of setting up ladders, deciding on placement, knitting them on subsequent rows, and closing them off when we don't need them anymore. We'll explore best practices for charting, comparing examples of charted-in ladder instructions to those we add for ourselves. You'll make project-based choices about moving ladders and see when this is a useful tool in our projects. By the end of class you'll not only be on your way to having an adorable hat, you'll easily envision how to bring this technique into any stranded knitting pattern.
This class is suitable for those who have worked Ladderback Jacquard before and are excited to play with it in a project-based class, as well as those who are brand new to the technique but eager to jump right into a project.
Those who would prefer to learn the technique at a more relaxed pace or on a simpler sample will enjoy my "Ladderback Jacquard for Stranded Knitting" class instead.
