Become the boss of your knitting! Study the anatomy of a stitch, then apply what you’ve learned to correct a variety of common knitting mistakes including twisted stitches, dropped stitches, split stitches, and holes. Learn to safely tear back a stitch, a row, or an acre of knitting without losing your cool. Gain confidence and enjoy your knitting even more!

Skill Level: Beginner (must be comfortable knitting and purling)

Student Supplies:

50 gms smooth, variegated, cotton, worsted-weight yarn (comparable to Sugar ‘n Cream or Peaches ‘n Cream)
US 7 (4.5 mm) double-pointed needles
1 yd (1 m) smooth, contrasting-colored scrap yarn
Blunt darning needle
G (4 mm) crochet hook (or something close)

Homework: Cast on 15 stitches. Knit 4 rows (garter stitch). Do not bind off. Do not cut yarn.
