Mindful and relaxing, slow stitching is the process of adding decoration to fabric through the use of applique, embellishments and simple hand embroidery stitches. In this class you'll be introduced to a new portable textile skill using upcycled fabrics, embellishments and backing on a small piece of fabric.

In this slow stitching class you will create an 8”X 8” wall hanging complete with backing and hanging loops and a whimsical hanger. You'll learn how to choose thrifted fabric and cut appliques to hand stitch onto a base fabric utilizing several different embroidery stitches.
