Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma, Washington
Red Alder takes place at the Hotel Murano and its adjoining conference center in the middle of downtown Tacoma. This friendly and welcoming art hotel is a showplace for the region's glassworks and is located within walking distance of the Tacoma Museum of Glass, the UW Tacoma Campus, and a number of local eateries.

Transportation
Flying
SeaTac Airport (SEA) is the nearest airport to Tacoma. Taxis, Uber, and shuttles are available for transport between the airport and the Murano hotel. You can book shuttle reservations ahead through Premier Airport Shuttle.
It is also possible to travel via public transit by taking light rail from SeaTac to the Sounder station, the Sounder commuter train to the Tacoma Dome station, and the Light Rail to the hotel, as below.
Driving
The Hotel Murano is at 1320 Broadway Plaza near the Convention Center in Downtown Tacoma, Washington. It is just minutes away from Interstate 5 exit 133 to Highway 705 following signs to “City Center”.
Parking is available at the hotel for a daily fee.
Rail
From Portland and other points south, the train stops at the Tacoma Amtrak Station. From the Tacoma Dome station take the Tacoma Light Rail Trolley to the Convention Center stop.
From Seattle, take the Sounder Commuter Train to the Tacoma Dome station. Transfer there to the free Tacoma Light Rail Trolley to the Convention Center stop. The last block is an uphill walk.

The Hotel Murano has an onsite restaurant with table service, morning coffee and pastries available from the restaurant bar, and a lobby bar. Each day at lunchtime we offer a quick-service Grab & Go lunch station in the Rotunda with a rotating menu of hot and cold lunch options that can be enjoyed right there at the community tables.
