Cecelia Campochiaro

Friday PM

This class is an introduction to using marls as a design element in hand knitting. It will include how marled fabrics work, some of the practical challenges of working with marls, and many different ways to use marls for different visual effects. We will use the microswatching technique to understand how colors and texture blend and how use them to design a shawl using Ito Kinu silk noil yarn. Ito Kinu silk noil yarns will be provided swatching. The class is a good chance to see all the colors of this beautiful yarn and learn about how to use it. Information will be provided on how to order the yarn or kits in class.
