Pointillist Knitting

Sivia Harding

Thursday AM

Learn how to make pops of color in your knitting! In this class, I will introduce a bevy of fun, easy techniques combining color and texture that will jazz your knitting while using up your leftover scraps of yarn. In the class, we start a cowl or headband to illustrate the basic principles, but you will have fun making up your own combinations for cowls, scarves, even sweater yokes! We discuss color theory to discover what makes things pop. You won’t look at your yarn leftovers the same way after this class!

Skill Level: Knitters need to know how to knit, purl, cast on, join, and knit in the round.

Material fee: $5 for full color handout and pattern

Student Supplies: Small amounts of dk weight (or doubled fingering weight) yarn in several colors. Bring your leftover balls!
