This workshop will cover how to knit woven patterning without a background surface. You will learn about different weave structures and reinterpret them into knitted stitch patterns. The instructions will involve increases, decreases, stranded, and intarsia knitting techniques, color arrangements, chart reading, and how to design a project using the information learned.
Skill Level: Intermediate. Basic knitting skills including knowledge of increasing and decreasing.
Material fee: $0
Student Supplies: Students must bring at least 4 colors DK weight plain wool or cotton yarn, doublepointed or circular 3.5-4mm, stitch markers, and, if you have them, bring yarn bobbins.
