Tablet Weaving: Warping Unusual Materials
Friday All Day
It is easy to tablet weave with cotton, but what about boucle yarn, or mylar yarn? These unusual materials require unusual handling but can almost always be made to work somehow. Bring unusual yarns you would like to work with and we will figure out the best way to use that yarn while warping a threaded-in pattern.
Must have experience tablet weaving threaded-in designs.
$5 Some unusual yarns will be supplied.
Inkle style loom, 20 4-hole cards, belt shuttle, scissors, three balls or cones of mercerized or unmercerized cotton (size between 10/2 and 5/2) or #10 crochet thread in three different colors. At lease ½ ounce of each. Any unusual yarns you would like to experiment with.
