Student Supplies: Fingering weight yarn in green (leaves), brown (dirt), cream/tan (hanging pot) and a flower color of your choice.
Crochet hook in the 1.75mm to 2mm range.
Standard notions: yarn needle for sewing in ends, scissors, stitch markers

I’m enjoying Omega Eulali mercerized Egyptian cotton yarn with a 1.75mm hook.
If fingering yarn feels too tiny, you can scale up and use a heavier weight yarn and a hook that will allow you to crochet a dense fabric.

Homework: (optional) Do a search online for “crochet hanging potted plant image” to spark your creativity. So much cute stuff!
